Our mission is to support talented and creative visual artists in their pursue of a sustainable practice
Based on over 25 years experience, internationally, I designed a course for emerging artists called Creative Clinic
offering one-on-one sessions over a few weeks to support and boost emerging talent towards clearly defined objectives. This initiative was paired with an analysis of outcomes and needs observed while supporting artists, which I further developed as a methodology .
The need to support emerging artists in the UK has been highlighted extensively by researchers and industry organizations. The creative industries contribute significantly to the UK economy, with a direct GDP contribution of £115.9 billion in 2019, representing 6% of the total UK economy. However, despite this economic impact, emerging artists often face challenges in establishing sustainable careers after completing their education in the creative sector
Encourage emerging artists to find a solid route of development for their own freelance experience ar well as for their own development as individual creatives and part of the community
Experience
Directly conducted by its founder Cecilia Santamarina who has worked closely with artists for over a quarter of a century in different capacities, as an accomplished art and design curator based in London for over a decade.
Her background in different artistic disciplines abroad, including independent film production, coaching of performing artists and production of international festivals brings a great deal of knowhow to her mentees.
